Our client in the Warwick, RI area is seeking a Staff Accountant to join their team on a temporary basis. Responsibilities for this position include:
Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
Maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; and resolving discrepancies
Compile and analyze financial information on a monthly basis to prepare entries to accounts and prepares balance sheet work paper schedules, documenting business transactions
Prepare spreadsheets analyzing various financial data from the accounting system as requested by management
Assists the Director of Finance with projects including, vendor audits, state & federal tax audits, year-end financial review, and special analysis
Bachelor''s degree in Accounting or related field, required;
3-5 years prior Accounting experience;
Experience with MAS200 or Great Plains, preferred;
Advanced Excel skills, required;
Excellent analysis skills, as well as well-developed critical thinking & problem solving skills.
