Manufacturing Engineering Technician

Manufacturing Engineering TechnicianWarwick, RI - Direct Hire w/Benefits (Target Pay $34/hr or $70,720 Annually)SUMMARYThe Engineering Technician will assist engineering and manufacturing in the development of new processes and maintenance/improvement of current processes.
With limited supervision and guidance, the individual may also compile, analyze, and report test data and other information to establish and verify performance standards for new and existing processes.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support operations equipment use and performance Introduction of new processes or equipment into the manufacturing facility Perform the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of equipment Provide associate training, maintain service records, support equipment maintenance Write quality documents as needed such as SOPs and Work Instructions Will be required to work with minimal supervision, providing both external and internal customers with products that meet defined quality standards and are delivered on schedule.
Must be able to mark-up and/or write procedures for use within the company when required.
Overtime and work hours other than Monday-Friday may be required.
Work well with peers from various backgrounds to build effective work relationships.
Participate in continuous improvement activities.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Work with design engineering tp provide manufacturability feedback Willingness to take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the business requirements SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIESThis position has no direct reports.

Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as exchange rates and statistics.
REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and documents, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Ability to read and interpret production and sales reports/graphs and utilize them in practical applications.

WORKING CONDITIONSOccasional Travel may be required.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCERequired High school diploma or equivale Minimum of five (5) to seven (7) years of experience in a technical field Manual machining skills (with use of lathe / milling machine) are a plus.
Desired Associate degree in technical field Experience in jewelry manufacturing Experience in machine/model shop Knowledge of CAD, Laser machining, investment casting SKILLS/COMPETENCIES Practical problem solving and analytical skills, ability to deal with a variety of changing situations Must be detail oriented and can work independently with little instruction Team Player, works well with others from various teams Good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills, ability to work with associates and customers Read, write, and understand English Microsoft Office Ability to understand documentation such as, but not limited to, Bill of Materials (BOM), shop orders, routers, and other relevant manufacturing documentation Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
CERTIFICATION/TRAINING REQUIRED Ongoing job specific training will be required throughout the duration of employment for necessary skills such as design controls training, quality and regulatory requirements and procedures, etc.
