Residential assistants perform, assist, and monitor daily non-clinical aspects of the residential program.
This position is for overnight hours only, and must remain awake at all times.
The hours are 10pm to 8am.
Days of the week to be determined upon hire.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned) Provide support and be available to listen to residents experiencing personal distress Carry out any specific instructions received from the operations coordinator Consult on a regular basis with clinical staff and supervisors regarding residents' behaviors, problems, etc.
in order to contribute to improvement in the treatment plans Keep written records concerning events which occur during a residential support staff shift, including - but not limited to - medications, breathalyzer tests, urine samples.
Answer incoming telephone calls Ensure that the facility is kept in a clean and safe condition.
Resolve differences with or between/among residents in accordance with Bridgemark rules, regulations and philosophy at all times, exhibiting respect for residents' individual rights and dignity Filing and other office duties Other duties as may be assigned from time to time by Operations Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS Be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily If in recovery, provide evidence of at least two years free from substance abuse Be familiar with the operations of a residential mid-stage treatment program for alcoholics and/or abusers of other drugs or have the equivalent understanding through education or training Evidence a sense of organization and be able to consistently exercise good judgment and able to handle emergencies well Fax, mail or email resume.
